Characters:
Arya (Original Female
Character, OFC)
She is a determined and independent teenager. Arya is underestimated by many of her peers, but proves them wrong with her craftiness which keeps her alive in an era where harm is around every corner. She is one of six children. She is often mistaken for a boy due to her boisterous nature and unwillingness to behave as a 'young lady', as expected. Her mischievousness enables her to learn new crafts such as using a sword and bow and arrow thus increasing her chance of survival.
Alexius

Arya (still distraught over her families recent deaths) discovers a Phoenix named Alexius, a long-lived creature unknown to her at the time. She instantly befriends Alexuis. Alexius is an immortal creature, with the ability to be reborn from her ashes after death. Garry Kamber is a Lord of Wayward Downs. The Kambers were often bullied by other Houses or seen as inferior because of their sigil the rabbit which is a dull and timid creature. He is ill, infected with the disease The Black Cough. He is unafraid of his imminent death, his chances of survival are thin. Despite his illness he intends to marry Liddy Frey, a woman he is betrothed to. Although he doesn't seem pleased with the wedding he goes through with it regardless.
I enjoyed reading
this. The writer of this Fic has done well creating characters that 'fit in'
with the original setting in the Game of Thrones series. His descriptions of
their clothing for example resemble my expectation of the type of clothing
people would wear in that era. The characters also used appropriate language
that was typically used in the series.
Harry Potter crosses paths with the Stark family of Castle
Winterfell, characters from GOT Series. Harry Potter (known as Harry Snow) is
raised by wild Dire Wolves and is adopted into the Stark family. They capture and
execute Will, who has been sentenced to death after breaking his oath and
deserting the Nights Watch. They come across a dead Dire Wolf and rescue her
pups. He
is looked up to by his younger siblings so he is encouraged to set a good example for them to follow. Harry has a dream he later associates with
Jaime and Cersei Lannister, giving him a negative impression of the both.
Extremely poor grammar is used throughout the Fic, making it
hard to understand and unpleasant to read. The writer is inconsistent with his
use of words e.g. the use of my lady and
milady. This Fic skips time zones,
skipping a few years ahead. This Fic follows the plot of the first Episode of
GOT, only adding Harry into the plot. Harry didn’t add anything interesting to
the plot at all; only being someone they came across and he then became a member of
their family. I found Harry boring. The writer’s characterisations of the
Starks closely resemble their original description in the GOT series, which is
good because Arya in my Fic is a member of the Stark family and this gives me
ideas about different ways to describe her and her family if they’re mentioned.
This Ficlet features short sentences between Gendry and Arya
Stark, another describing the feelings between Ned and Catelyn Stark (Aryas
parents) and lastly the thoughts of Joffrey Lannister, all characters in GOT.
The words used in these sentences are captivating. In only a few words these sentences make an impact. I was left wanting to read further, wanting to know what happens next. I’m given an insight in to their personalities and traits as well as the current situation they’re in. A good, short read. It gives me an idea of how words and sentences should be used to keep the reader engaged and interested.

Woman of the Night’s watch
This fic stems from the character Jon Snow
who joins a brotherhood called the Night’s Watch, men assigned to protect the Seven Kingdoms. This story centres around the idea that a woman could be a part
of the night’s watch seeing as the night’s watch is strictly for men.
The fic is quite well-written. The character Jon Snow is portrayed similarly to his persona in the original GOT series which is important for readers expectations. The setting is also similar so there is already a tone and familiarity for fans of the series to relate to. The idea of having a woman in a place where men are only permitted is intriguing for those who know this is unlikely to happen in the original thus gaving me inspiration to apply modern morals such as gender equality to my plot also. One downside is that there is no use of visual media though the familiar setting used means the writer does not have to give a detailed explanation of the surroundings.

On Her Way
Gendry tells Arya he wants to join the Brotherhood Without Banners (Lord Bedrics group of men they’re travelling with). His longing to find a family to belong to motivates him to join. She is upset with the prospect of losing him, during their travels together she has formed a bond with him and she realises she loves him. She suspects Sersei and Jamie Lannister commit incest and questions Sersei’s son Joeffrey’s legitimacy to the Throne he currently sits on. She concludes they pushed her brother off a tower crippling him after he witnessed their affair. She plans to seek revenge.
This fic worked well. It was coherent. The writer didn’t
stray too far from the original plot in the episode this is based on. Arya
becomes upset at the idea of him joining the Brotherhood in the original but
with a sense of losing a brother figure, where as in this fic she fanaticises
about him and realises she is in love with him. I find this a bit strange
because of her age of 13 in the GOT series, prompting things for me to think
about when writing my fic e.g making sure the reader is aware of important
details about my characters where necessary. I’ll assume Arya is 18 in this
one.
